Dear Parents/Guardians,
I am extremely excited for this new school year! As your children enter 1st grade, they will be experiencing quite a transition from kindergarten. For the first few weeks we will be doing a lot of review work so I can see where every student is at, and what we need to work on. As we progress through the year, we will be working on many different projects and activities. This year your children will spend a lot of time reading small books as they progress in their reading skills and knowledge. throughout the year, there will be multiple instances when I will hold a parent/teacher meeting that you may attend if you wish. During these, you will have the opportunity to look at our classroom and what we have been working on, ask any questions you may have, and talk individually about your child's progress. Please use this website frequently to check for upcoming projects, assignments, activities and field trip information. You can find all of this kind of information under the "classroom content" page. Also, please look over the "policies and rules" page and discuss the information on that page with your children. You can also find the technology disclosure under the "home" page which must be signed and returned to me during the first week of school.
I look forward to meeting you all!
Sincerely,
Miss Farmer
